When hiring a garment from River Dress Hire you therefore declare that you accept and will abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read our full terms and conditions before making a booking. 

 

Hire Process - Browse and book our full collection through our website! 

Hirer will receive 2 emails from River Dress Hire once their booking is confirmed. A confirmation email will be sent out to confirm the booking, followed by an email with all pickup information. This will inform the hirer that their item is ready for collection and will provide the pickup address and details.

Message us through our Contact Us Page or Instagram account before making your booking if an extended hire period is required.

 the garment and hire period you’re interested in so we can check availability and get back to you! A form of Identification must be provided to secure your booking.

 

Hire Period - Our standard hire period is 3 days, however an extended hire period can be arranged upon discussion, based on availability. Just ask before booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate! 

 

Try Ons - Try ons are available through appointment only and are located in Camp Hill, Brisbane.

To book a try on, fill in our Contact Us form on our website or send us a message on Instagram.

Include the name and size of the garment/s you would like to try on, along with and date of your event so we can ensure they are available before confirming your appointment. 

 

Payment - Full payment is required to secure your booking, and must be made before the garment can be picked up or shipped.

 

Pickups - We offer free and flexible pickups from Camp Hill Brisbane, with the address for pickup provided once your order is confirmed. You will be notified when your dress is ready for collection, and provided with pickup details. 

 

Postal Hires/Returns - Australia wide postage is available through Aus post. This is not included in the garment hire price.

We require a minimum of 5 business days notice for any postal hire to allow sufficient postage time. A tracking number will be provided once your garment has been sent.

Once a send off day has been agreed on by the client, River Dress Hire takes no responsibility if the garment does not arrive on time.

A prepaid returns satchel will be included in all postal hires. The garment must be sent back by the client before 4pm on the Tuesday following their hire period, unless previously discussed and agreed on by River Dress Hire. Returns must be made over the counter, Australia post street boxes will not be accepted.

 

Garment Condition - When hiring, please do not expect the garment to be in perfect cognition. All garments have been previously worn and as a result may show signs of general wear. Any major deformities will be stated in the listing.

 

Cancellations - At River Dress Hire we understand plans change and accept all cancellations.

Cancellations made up to 2 weeks prior to the hire period will receive a full refund. 

Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the hire period will receive a 80% refund.

 

Cancellations by River Dress Hire

River Dress Hire may be required to cancel a booking for factors uncontrollable by us such as, but not limited to: 

  • Damage or loss of garment by previous hirer 
  • Loss or delay of parcel by Aus Post

We will always give you as much notice as possible if this occurs.

 

Late fees - Both drop off and postal returns must be made by the Tuesday following your booking, unless previously discussed and agreed upon. A late fee of $10 will be charged for everyday the return is overdue. 

 

Damages - It is expected that our garments are treated with utmost care and respect by all clients during their hire period. No fashion tape or unwashed tan is to be worn with our garments as damage can be caused. 

Garment is to be returned unwashed. 

Hirer must advise River Dress Hire of any damages to the garment while in their possession. Extra cleaning or alterations required to a garment are to be compensated for by the client.

In the case of damage beyond repair, the client is responsible to pay the full RRP + 20% of the garment and may be required to cover the cost of any current bookings for that garment that must be canceled as a result.
